Our Story

"Anything that looks good on the road, I'm going to jump out, taste it and write about it. How are people eating (vegetarian) food? Who is eating it?... Is there a philosophy behind what you're serving?"--Madhur Jaffrey

In 2024, KhabaarCo, a global literary salon & supper club, started as a simple dinner with community leaders, asking the question, how can we open our hearts & build community? And what does community look like to you?

With that, KhabaarCo initiated curated Conversations with Changemakers at a global level--in New York, San Francisco, London, & San Diego. Founded by TEDx speaker, award-winnng author & chef Madhushree Ghosh, KhabaarCo events have been received with great joy within global community members who are keen to make the world a better place.

Our events provide exciting food demos by our featured chefs & foods made by immigrant & local businesses like Punjabi Tandoor & Baraka & Bilal catering (United Women of East Africa). Our conversations are with chefs, food people, community activists, architects, authors and changemakers. Focus remains on borders, social justice, food travel, sustainability, community building, the politics of food, & belonging.

In 12 months, we have hosted 11 KhabaarCo events, & many private events where we have conducted recipe demos, conversations with chefs like Chef Claudia Sandoval, Chef Hetal Vasavada, authors like Priyanka Mattoo, Megan Groth, Kristin Vukovic, & community leaders like Jen Nation.

In 2025, we are excited to include more dinner events highlighting local organizations, culinary experts, authors & chefs, as well as curated food travel retreats to Joshua Tree, Oaxaca and India tracing the path of colonized foods like mezcal, yucca, okra and tea.
