Love for Food & Conversation
KhabaarCo was formed in 2024 with a simple question–what do we talk about when we talk about food?
As the daughter of refugees and an immigrant to America, I have always been curious to explore what food represents–is it nostalgia, is it homesickness, is it love, joy and longing? All of the above? But also, as a people, what does it say about us when we make a dish, say, a chicken tikka masala, or a salsa macha in a country that we have adopted away from the country that showed us how to make these dishes?
KhabaarCo explores these questions through deep conversations with food historians, authors, chefs, activists, and those who want to build community, wherever they may be.
Our mission is simple: Conscious Food & Travel. Be good neighbors.
We look to build community, a community of curious, respectful, joyous people who build a world we respect, one meal at a time.
Khabaar: in Bengali means food. Khabar in Urdu, and Hindi means news. KhabaarCo is food + Co(mmunity)
We are trying to educate ourselves, through the journey of food, & people & what that informs us as we build a community that celebrates, respects & feeds each other.
